One (1) Academic School Year*. Anticipated start is late July 2025/early August through end of program year. *Length of service is dependent upon Fellow start date with the program.

Blueprint AmeriCorps Eligible Benefits

  • Living Stipend $33,000** for 1 academic school year plus initial training (approximately 10 months for a full academic school year). You will receive a bi-weekly stipend throughout the academic school year. 
  • Segal Education Award - Awarded upon successful completion of your service hours. The current full Segal Education award is $7,395.00 ** - which can be used for future educational expenses or to repay qualified student loans.  (Members aged 55+ may transfer their Education Award to a family member.) 
  • Forbearance for federally backed student loans; after successful completion of term of service, you are eligible to have the interest incurred during service year paid in full
  • Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP Benefits)
  • Childcare Benefits for Full-time AmeriCorps Members who meet the outlined eligibility requirements (must complete 1700 service hours)

The Opportunity

Join us as a Blueprint AmeriCorps Math Fellow and make a meaningful impact in students' lives. In this full-time service role, you'll provide daily small-group math tutoring, collaborate with teachers, and receive ongoing training and mentorship from experienced educators.

What You'll Do

  • Deliver daily small-group math tutoring to 4 - 8 students at a time across multiple class periods during the school day using Blueprint Schools Network's curriculum.
  • Build strong, supportive relationships with students to foster trust and engagement.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to align tutoring strategies with the curriculum.
  • Participate in regular professional development sessions to enhance your teaching skills.
  • Engage in weekly lesson planning, observations and one-on-one coaching sessions with your Site Manager to support your growth and development.
  • Maintain and use data to monitor student attendance, review and support academic progress, communicate progress to stakeholders, and celebrate successes.
  • Commit to a full year of service by completing 1,700 AmeriCorps service hours (prorated based on start date), including tutoring and professional development, while accurately tracking time using Blueprint’s designated systems.
  • Willingness to take on other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • U.S. citizen; AmeriCorps members are required to be U.S. citizens, nationals, or lawful permanent residents  (AmeriCorps requirement).
  • Age 18 or over (AmeriCorps requirement).
  • Have previously completed no more than three terms of service through AmeriCorps state and national programs (AmeriCorps requirement)
  • Currently enrolled in an associate’s degree program; or previously enrolled in an associate’s degree program;  or completed an associate's degree or higher required. 
  • Language proficiency: English required, Spanish preferred.
  • Proficiency in foundational math concepts to effectively support grade levels served and guide students in understanding and mastering mathematical principles.
  • Access to reliable transportation or public transportation.
  • Blueprint AmeriCorps Math Fellows are required to complete and successfully clear the pre-employment background screening process for Blueprint, AmeriCorps, and partner schools/district before the start of training.
